Abstract

The present invention relates to a catalyst system for the selective conversion of hydrocarbons into multi-walled carbon nanotubes and hydrogen comprising a compound of the formula: (Ni,Co)FeO(AlO)w wherein 'y' represents the molar fraction of Fe relative to Co and Ni and wherein 0.11≦y≦9.0, 1.12≦z≦14.5, and 1.5≦w≦64.
