Abstract

A card connectorincludes a slide membermovable along an inserting/withdrawing direction of a card, an urging memberfor urging the slide membertoward a card insertion opening, and a pin memberhaving a slide endslidable within and relative to a cam grooveprovided in the slide memberand a support shaft endsupported to the bodyside. As the slide endis retained at a lock portion L formed in the cam groove, the card is retained at an appropriate position. The card connectorincludes a switch mechanism M which is operated by the support shaft endwhen the slide endis pushed by the slide memberalong the urging direction of the urging memberat the time of retention of the slide endat the lock portion L.
