Abstract
The invention relates to a method for supporting a handover of a mobile stationfrom a first radio access unitof a wireless communication networkto a second radio access unitof a wireless communication network. In order to improve a context transfer in the case of a handover of the mobile station, the mobile stationtransmits information about its activity state to the second radio access unitwhen it is to be handed over to the second radio access unit. The invention relates equally to such a mobile station, to such a second radio access unit, to a wireless communication system comprising such a mobile station and such a second radio access unit, and to a software code causing the transfer of information at the mobile station.
