Abstract
A controllable drive () suitable for a motor vehicle coolant pump () comprises a rotatably mounted shaft (), a driven member () which is rotationally fixedly mounted on the shaft (), a driving member () which is mounted so as to be rotatable relative to the shaft (), and a coupling region () which is arranged between the driving and driven members () and holds a viscous fluid. At least one first flow path and at least one second flow path connect a fluid reservoir to the coupling region (), and an actuation device () changes at least one passage opening of at least one flow path. A coupling housing () is connected to the driving member (), and the actuator () is arranged within the coupling housing ().
