Abstract

A viewing device () includes a body enclosing a first reflective surface or mirror (), second reflective surface or mirror () and a mechanism for securing the body to a conventional sighting device or telescope () on a firearm. First mirror () is adapted to direct an incoming light beam () onto second mirror () so that an outgoing light beam () is angled relative to the incoming light beam (). In use, viewing device () can be releasably attached to rear end () of telescope () and allows a user () to remain partially hidden behind obstacle () whilst viewing through sighting device () and using the firearm. The angular offset of respective light beams () is between 35° and 60°.
