Abstract
Provided is a method for performing maintenance of a particulate which can reliably remove combustion residue by means of backwash air without use of hot water and the like while cutting equipment expenses, so that substantial increase in exhaust pressure and deterioration of fuel economy during operation can be prevented. When maintenance of the particulate filteris to be performed, a filleris filled to each of passageswith outlets unplugged with plugsso as to reduce an inner volume of the passage, and then backwash airis blown into the passageswith the unplugged outlets.
