Abstract
A catheter body includes a coil body () which is formed by winding or stranding metal wires () and having a distal portion () and a proximal portion. The distance between coils () adjacent to each other in the distal portion () is greater than the distance between coils () adjacent to each other in the proximal portion (or). The pitch in the distal portion () of the coil body () is substantially or nearly the same as the pitch in the proximal portion (or).
