Abstract
A computer array () has a plurality of computers (). The computers () communicate with each other asynchronously, and the computers () themselves operate in a generally asynchronous manner internally. When one computer () attempts to communicate with another it goes to sleep until the other computer () is ready to complete the transaction, thereby saving power and reducing heat production. A plurality of read lines (), write lines () and data lines () interconnect the computers (). When one computer () sets a read line () high and the other computer sets a corresponding write line () then data is transferred on the data lines (). When both the read line () and corresponding write line () go low this allows both communicating computers () to know that the communication is completed. An acknowledge line () goes high to restart the computers ().
