Abstract
An end couplingfor a shaftof a rock boltcomprises a bodyhaving a lead portionwith a leading end, and a tail portionwith a trailing end. The tail portionis arranged to be connected to a drive to impart rotation to the coupling about its axis. The bodydefines a passageextending between the leading and trailing ends and a first portionof the passageextends from the leading endand has a first diameter. A second portionof the passageis disposed adjacent the first portionand has a second diameter that is larger than said first diameter. A first threadextends along at least part of the first portionof the passageand is arranged to engage an external threadon the rock bolt shaft. A rock bolt assembly incorporating the end couplingis also disclosed.
