Abstract
A method for transmitting short messages () in a telecommunications network () is proposed, which enables especially simple, convenient downloading of data fields () of the short message () from a network operator (). A notice is sent to a subscriber () of the telecommunications network () as a function of a short message () transmitted to the telecommunications network () for the subscriber (). With the notice, data that include items of information about the makeup and/or content of the short message () are transmitted to the subscriber ().
