Abstract

A seat (), in particular a backrest () comprises a seat structure (), a cover (), and a back panel (), which back panel () has at least one lateral wall () covering a receiving space () formed in a side wall () of the backrest (), in which a soft cover side airbag module SAM () is arranged, wherein the airbag of the SAM () will deploy between cover () and a free end () of the lateral wall () in a deployment direction (). To improve such a seat to provide it with an excellent outer appearance, wherein the danger of an inadvertent opening of a lateral wall is substantially reduced, and wherein the deployment of the airbag is by no means negatively influenced, but supported in an advantageous way, a package plate () is arranged between the SAM () and an inner surface () of the lateral wall () which package plate () is fastened at its back end section () to the SAM () and releasably at its front end section () within the receiving space (), wherein the airbag will deploy between front section () and cover ().
