Abstract

The invention relates to a guiding device () for guiding a displaceable machine element () of a machine. Said guiding device () in connected in a mechanically fixed manner to a machine bed (). A material measure () is arranged along at least one part of the guiding device () in order to determine a position of the machine element (). The guiding device () and the material measure () can be displaced in relation to each other and at least one part of the material measure () is in contact with the guiding device () either directly or via a bearing (). The inventive guiding device () enables the displaceable machine elements to be positioned in a precise manner even when the machine bed () is vibrated. The invention also relates to a machine comprising said type of guiding device ().
