Abstract
A cable assembly () adapted for mating with a mating connector, includes an electrical connector () and a cable () electrically terminated to one end of the electrical connector. The electrical connector has an insulative housing (), a number of contacts () received in the insulative housing, and a shielding shell () enclosing the insulative housing. The cable has metallic braiding layer (). The cable assembly has a grounding plate () mechanically and electrically connecting with the braiding layer of the cable and the shielding shell.
