Abstract

A pixel electrode (), a gate bus line (), and a source bus line () are formed while interposing an interlayer insulating film () therebetween. When viewed from the display surface side of a liquid crystal display panel, the pixel electrode (), the gate bus line () and the source bus line () are arranged to overlap at least partially in the plan view. Consequently, in a liquid crystal display to which an OCB mode is applied, a uniform bend orientation can be attained over the entire screen even if transition nuclei are not generated in all pixels.
