Abstract
A plasma display device comprising phosphor layer wherein the phosphor layer comprises blue-emission divalent europium activated alkaline earth silicate phosphor which is represented by the following compositional formula (Ae)(Ae')SiO:Eu, wherein x satisfies 0.01≦x≦0.1, Ae is at least one alkaline earth element selected from the group consisting of Sr, Ca, and Ba, and Ae′ is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Zn or (Zn plus Mg).
