Abstract
A device detects interactions between species in liquid and species on a solid support. It includes a solid support (), a mechanism () for temporarily reducing the amount of a liquid to which the support is exposed, a detector () capable of detecting an interaction between species attached to the solid support, and species contained in the liquid. Also described is a method including attaching a first species on a solid support, exposing the first species to a liquid containing a second species, performing a measurement, capable of detecting an interaction between the first and the second species, and a reference measurement. The liquid is temporarily removed during the measurement.
