Abstract
There is provided an insulation resistance detecting apparatus that accurately calculates an insulation resistance value in real time. The insulation resistance detecting apparatus includes: pulse generator, comparatorto which reference voltage Vis supplied as one input and an output from pulse generatoris supplied as the other input, comparatorthat outputs a low-level signal when the level of the other input exceeds reference voltage V, and that outputs a high-level signal when the level of the other input is lower than reference voltage V; resistance Rprovided on the output line of pulse generatorin series; coupling capacitor Cone end of which is connected to the other input line of comparatorand the other end of which is connected to the output line of high-voltage DC power supply; capacitor Cone end of which is connected to the other input line of comparatorand the other end of which is connected to a ground; and pulse width measuring devicethat calculates the value of insulation resistance on the output line of high-voltage DC power supplyfrom the duty ratio of an output waveform of comparator
