Abstract
A stent delivery systemfor supplying a stent to a body cavity which includes an endoscopethat has an insertion portionwith a curvature portiondisposed at the distal end thereof, a sheaththat is disposed with the insertion portioninserted in the inside thereof and a stentplaced on the outer surface of the distal end side thereof; and a regulating portionthat regulates the relative movement of the stentto the proximal end side of the sheath, with the sheathformed of a length that allows the distal end of the insertion portionthat is inserted in the sheathto protrude from the distal end of the sheath. In accordance with the present invention, it is possible to provide a stent delivery system that can place a stent by endoscope observation without the need of excessive diametrical contraction or additional expansion of the stent.
