Abstract

A method and device, for a heat exchanger which is provided with gaskets, for assessing and detecting the risk of fluid leakage in the heat exchanger due to worn-out gaskets. In the heat exchanger, a heat transfer plate () with gasket () is provided with a pressure sensor () which monitors the pressure between the plate () and the gasket (). A further sensor is adapted to the heat exchanger for monitoring the pressure of the fluid entering the heat exchanger.
