Abstract
A coating composition comprising (A) at least one fluorine-containing organosilicon compound represented by the following formula (1) or (2) Rf-QZA(1) AZQ-Rf-(Q-Z-Q-Rf)-QZA(2) and (B) a fluorine-containing carboxylic acid having a number average molecular weight of from 100 to 10,000 and a fluorine content of at least 25 wt %, wherein an amount of (B) ranges from 0.001 to 10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the component (A) wherein the amount of (B) ranges from 0.001 to 10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the component (A), wherein the composition can be cured rapidly even at room temperature to produce water-repellent and antifouling coatings.
