Abstract

A colored glass has a formula of R'0—RO—SiO, wherein R′ is an alkali metal element and R is an alkaline earth metal element. The colored glass comprises between 0.01 and 1% by weight of molybdenum expressed as MoOand between 0.01 and 2.5% by weight of sulfur expressed as SO. The colored glass further comprises between 7.8 and 14% by weight of potassium expressed as KO and between 0.68 and 5.42% by weight of sodium expressed as NaO. The sum of the concentrations of potassium and sodium expressed as KO and NaO is between 11 and 17% by weight.
