Abstract
A method for producing a shaped body () made of glass or glass ceramics comprises the steps of: (a) placing at least two glass blanks () side by side on a shaped surface () of a temperature-resistant sagging mold (); (b) sagging the glass blanks () onto the shaped surface () by heating the sagging mold () and the glass blanks (); (c) attaching the sagged glass blanks () to each other in order to form the shaped body (); and (d) lifting the shaped body () from the sagging mold (). A shaped body () comprises at least two glass blanks () attached side by side and formed by sagging.
