Abstract

A method, system and apparatus for synchronizing data between a mobile communication device () and an external computer (-) across one of a plurality of communication paths (). A first application () resident on the mobile communication device () is operable to synchronize with the external computer (-) via a first communication path (). A second application () resident on the mobile communication device is operable to synchronize with the external computer (-) via a second communication path (). A related remote application () is resident on the external computer (-). A preferred application is selected by the user from the first and second applications (). The mobile communication device () synchronizes data associated with the preferred application with data associated with the related remote application () via the communication path associated with the preferred application.
