Abstract
The present invention discloses the isolation, cloning and use of insecticidal crystal proteins from. The present invention isolates a novel insecticidal crystal protein gene cry7Ba1 fromsubsp.YBT-978 strain, and said gene encodes a novel insecticidal crystal protein Cry7Ba1, which shows insecticidal activity against Lepidopteran insects. The present invention also discloses the gene sequence of the novel insecticidal crystal protein, uses suitable expression vectors to transform micro-organisms so as to express the product Cry7Ba1 encoded by the gene and make it exert the insecticidal activity of the protein against Lepidopteran pests.
