Abstract
A container-treatment method, of the type in which the container () is disposed inside a chamber () which defines a cavity () outside the container () and which is connected to a Vacuum pumping circuit (), the interior of the container () being connected to the pumping circuit (). The method includes a preliminary pumping step (E) which is followed by a treatment step (E). The preliminary step (E) includes the following successive phases, namely: an external pumping phase (P) which produces a drop in the pressure inside the cavity () only; and an internal pumping phase (P) which produces a drop in the pressure inside the container () only. A machine used to implement the method is also disclosed.
