Abstract

A method for controlling a printing position for a printing apparatus for using a plurality of printing heads to print an image is provided. This method prevents, even when a conveyed print medium has deformation such as deflection, a printing position of a print medium from being dislocated. To realize this, componentstofor detecting the conveyance speed of a print medium and componentstoadjusting the driving timing at which the respective plurality of printing heads eject ink in accordance with the resultant conveyance speed are provided. As a result, even when a conveyed print medium has deformation such as deflection, the control can be provided that prevents the print medium from having a dislocated printing position.
