Abstract
The invention relates to a support element () which can be mounted to an upper beam of the chassis of a motor vehicle. The inventive element comprises a body () and at least one upwardly-projecting breakable protuberance (A,B) to which a front fender of the vehicle is to be fixed. The protuberance (A,B) comprises: at least one front wall () which is connected to the body () by means of a frangible area (), a rear wall which is also connected to the body () by means of the frangible area (), and a third wall () which is connected to the body () by the frangible area () and which solidly connects the front wall () and the rear wall to one another.
