Abstract
A duct () applicable to a container () presents a connecting portion () with four substantially flat connecting surfaces () and a internal bridging surface () by which the side walls () of the container () are joined seamlessly to a spout () afforded by the duct (); the bridging surface () is contoured in such a way that a flow of liquid food product can be directed through the spout () without becoming trapped and stagnating between the duct () and side walls () of the container ().
