Abstract
An access pointproviding a wireless LAN connection to a terminal device, for the purpose of connecting the terminal device to a WAN, the access pointincludes: antenna unitsand-that send and/or receive a radio frequency signal used for exchanging information via the wireless LAN; signal conversion units--and-that perform conversion between the radio frequency signal and a digital signal as the information; an information processing unitthat executes processing of the digital signal based on a communication protocol for exchanging of the information; antenna casesand-that contain the antenna units and the signal conversion units; a main unit casethat, separated from the antenna cases, contains the information processing unit; and a wired cablesand-that, connecting the antenna cases and the main unit case, performs transmission the digital signal between the signal conversion units and the information processing unit.
