Abstract

A method of treating or inhibiting non-digestive tract derived abdominal disorders associated with pain, in particular interstitial cystitis, chronic pelvic pain syndrome and/or abdominal pain associated with endometriosis, in a patient in need thereof, by administering to the patient a pharmaceutically effective amount of a 5-HTreceptor antagonist, in particular cilansetron, or a pharmacologically compatible derivative thereof, such as a salt and/or a solvates.
