Abstract

A vehicle-occupant restraint systemis provided in that gas of an inflator is introduced into a lap belt inflatable part from an end of the lap belt, and the installation of the end of the lap belt and the inflator to a vehicle side member is simplified. The vehicle-occupant restraint systemincludes webbingrouted along the front of an occupant sitting on a seat, an inflatable lap bagconstituting the front end portion of a lap belt portion of the webbing, an inflatorfor inflating the lap bag, an anchorfor attaching the front end of the lap bagto the vehicle side member, and a retractorfor retracting the rear end of the webbing. The front end of the lap bagis attached to a B pillarserving as the vehicle side member via the anchor, so that the installation of the lap belt onto the vehicle side member is simplified, reducing cost.
