Abstract

The invention comprises an electrical machine with a stator () formed of plates, said stator () having an outer surface () and a first and second end () in the axial direction () and said stator being supported on the frame () of the electrical machine. The stator () is supported by necks of material (-) on the outer surface () at both ends of the stator. The number of necks (-) at both ends of the stator is even. The stator () has a vertical symmetry axis () perpendicular to the axial direction () and a horizontal symmetry axis () perpendicular to the axial direction (), and the necks (---) are located symmetrically in relation to at least one of the symmetry axes ().
