Abstract
In order to diagnose the leakage of an injector (IN) which serves for injecting fuel into the combustion chamber of at least one cylinder (CY) of a combustion engine (CE), it is detected, in an observation time window (OPS) during which the particular injector (IN) of the combustion engine (CE) that is to be tested is deactivated, whether a deviation (DV) of the speed curve (GS) of the combustion engine (CE) has occurred relative to a reference speed curve (GS) which indicates injector leak-tightness. In the event that a deviation (DV) is detected, it is concluded that there is a leakage of the injector (IN).
