Abstract
In an air conditioner for installation at a high location, a plurality of parallel reinforcement ribsare formed on a top platethat forms a top surface of a body casing and supports and holds a fan and a fan motor. When the top platehas the same plate thickness as a top plate of the prior art including radial reinforcement ribs, the top platehas a smaller maximum deflection and a higher resonance rotation speed than the prior art top plate.
