Abstract

According to this invention, a gene cluster involved in the non-mevalonate pathway ofwas obtained and nucleotide sequences of these genes were determined. The gene cluster according to this invention involved in the IPP biosynthesis in the non-mevalonate pathway is involved in the biosynthesis of vitamin E and carotenoids. Therefore, theobtained by introducing the gene cluster of the present invention can be expected to produce high-quality rubber with improved permanence.
