Abstract

A composition comprising alkyl esters, with a C-Calkyl group, and partial glycerides, with a free glycerol content of, at most, 2%, by weight, based on the weight of the composition, derived in an enzymatically-catalyzed reaction from saturated or unsaturated, straight or branched C-Cfatty acids of vegetable oils, and useful, inter alia, in biofuels, such as biodiesel, and as an additive for improving the lubricating performance of fuel compositions.
