Abstract
In a venous bubble trap (), having a housing () to which fluid, in particular blood, can be delivered essentially tangentially via a fluid inlet () and from which fluid can be carried away via a fluid outlet (), and having a filter device () located in the interior of the housing (), the filter device () divides the housing interior into a prefilter region () and a postfilter region (), and the postfilter region () surrounds the prefilter region () in at least some portions. As a result, air is reliably removed from the fluid.
