Abstract

Disclosed is a semiconductor light-emitting device having improved light-extraction efficiency. Specifically disclosed is a semiconductor light-emitting device () comprising a semiconductor light-emitting element (), a phosphor layer () which is so formed as to cover at least a part of the semiconductor light-emitting element (), and an outer layer () which is so formed as to cover at least a part of the phosphor layer (). The phosphor layer () contains a binder () and a phosphor () dispersed in the binder (), and the outer layer () contains a porous material (). Consequently, the semiconductor light-emitting device is improved in light-extraction efficiency.
