Abstract
The present invention relates to a herbal mixture extract ofandand a composition for prevention and treatment of periodontal disease containing the herbal mixture extract as an active ingredient, more precisely, a herbal mixture extract having activities of inhibiting the generation and activation of osteoclasts by enhancing the expression of osteoprotegerin (OPG) in osteoblasts, preventing alveolar bone from destruction by inhibiting the proliferation of osteoclasts and maintaining the growth of periodontal ligament cells and gingival fibroblasts, and a composition for prevention and treatment of periodontal disease containing the above mixture as an active ingredient.
