Abstract

A disposable diaper (, in particular used in the event of incontinence, comprises a hip band (). The hip band () comprises a first hip band section () and second hip band section (). A least the second hip band section () comprises a first closure means () provided with a side () which is oriented away from the body during use thereof and a side () which is oriented towards the body during use thereof, and at least the first hip band section () comprises a second closure means (). The side of the first closure means () which is oriented towards the body is attached in a detachable manner to the second closure means () in order to form a closed hip opening, and comprises a diaper main section () comprising a front area, a back area and a crotch area which is arranged there between, said diaper main section also comprises an absorption area () for fluids. The main part of the diaper () can be attached in a detachable manner to a fourth closure means () on the side of the hip band () oriented away from the body by means of at least one third, mechanical closure area () by means of the longitudinal end of the front region thereof or the rear area, and the third mechanical closure means () can be attached in a detachable manner to the side of the first closure means () which is oriented away from the body.
