Abstract

An upper surface of a skirting base sectionof a sand coreis provided with a projectionof a column shape. When a slide moldis slidingly moved in a mold clamping direction, a sliding contact sectionof a holding recessed sectionof the slide moldis brought into sliding contact with the projectionto hold the projectionwhile scraping away part of the sand of the projection. The upper surface of the skirting base sectionadjacent to the projectionis also provided with a recessfor recovering the scraped sand, wherein the width of the recessis larger than the diameter of the projectionin the longitudinal direction. The projectioncan be formed in a prismatic or semispherical shape.
