Abstract
The object of the present invention is to provide a technique for accurately transmitting information, wherein optical signals are the medium of information, between circuit boards. A holding membertaught in the present specification holds a plurality of circuit boardswith a predetermined distance therebetween, and provides an optical communication path between the circuit boards. The holding membercomprises a bodyand an optical waveguidethat penetrates the body. The holding memberfurther comprises a light receiving portionand a light emitting portion. By means of the holding member, an optical signal emitted at one circuit boardand received at an other circuit boardtravels along the optical waveguideof the holding member
