Abstract
The chip resistor () includes an insulating substrate () and a main upper electrode () formed on a main surface of the insulating substrate (). On the main surface of the insulating substrate (), a resistor film () including an end () overlapping the upper surface of main upper electrode () is formed. The resistor film () is covered by a protective coat (). An auxiliary upper electrode () is formed on the upper surface of the main upper electrode ().
