Abstract
A nitride semiconductor light-emitting device includes, a support substrate; a nitride semiconductor layerwhich includes a p-type nitride semiconductor layerformed on the support substrate, an MQW active layerformed on the p-type nitride semiconductor layer, and an n-type nitride semiconductor layerformed on the MQW active layer; a contact electrodeformed on the n-type nitride semiconductor layer; a second transparent electrodehaving an optical transparency and formed on the contact electrode; and a second pad electrodeformed on the support substrateand electrically connected to the second transparent electrode, wherein, on a projection plane S parallel to a main surface of the MQW active layer, a region on which the MQW active layeris projected and a region on which the second pad electrodeis projected are not overlapped.
