Abstract
A process for the production of C2-C4 hydrofluorocarbon, such as 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane, by contacting a non-fluorinated hydrochlorocarbon with a fluorinating agent, such as hydrogen fluoride, in a liquid catalyst system preferably comprising fluorinated superacid catalyst prepared from SbF, NbF, TaFor TaF/SnFand HF.
