Abstract
Disclosed is a method of dyeing keratin-containing fibers comprising treating the fiber with at least one compound of formula (1), wherein R, R, R, Rindependently from each other are hydrogen; hydroxy; —S—H; —S—C-Calkyl; halogen; C-Calkyl or C-Calkoxy, which may be substituted by one or more C-Calkyl, C-C-alkoxy, hydroxy, —(CO)—H or —(CO)—C-C5alkyl; —NRR; —NO; —(CO)H or (CO)—C-Calkyl; C-Caryl, C-Caryl-C-Calkyl or C-Caryl-C-Calkoxy, wherein the aryl moiety may be substituted by one or more C-Calkyl, C-Calkoxy, —(CO)—H or —(CO)—C-Calkyl; Rand Rindependently from each other are hydrogen; hydroxy; C-Calkyl; hydroxy-C-Calkyl; —(CO)—H; —(CO)—C-Calkyl; phenyl or phenyl-C-Calkyl, wherein the phenyl moiety may be substituted by one or more C1-Calkyl, C-Calkoxy, halogen, —NH2, mono-C-Calkylamino, di-C-C5alkylamino, —NO, carboxy or hydroxy; and An is an anion. Furthermore, the present invention relates to novel heterocyclic compounds, compositions thereof, especially comprising other dyes, and to processes for their preparation and application to hair dying.
