Analogs or derivatives of nitrobenzylthioinosine corresponding to formula I: in which R represents an unsubstituted or mono- or polysubstituted phenyl, benzyl or heteroaryl group or a phenyl group condensed with heteroaryl, and R″ represents an unsubstituted or mono- or polysubstituted NH—C-alkyl, NH-aryl, NH-heteroaryl, NH—C-cycloalkyl, NH—C-alkyl-aryl, NH—C-alkyl-heteroaryl, N(C-alkyl), N(C-alkyl-aryl), N(C-alkyl-heteroaryl), piperidine, piperazine, morpholine or pyrrolidine group; pharmaceutical compositions comprising such analogs or derivatives, and the use of such analogs or derivatives for treating pain and/or various other diseases.
