Abstract
A method and device for repairing incompetent venous valves and more specifically relates to repair method and an implantable support device—extravenous corrector (), which is positionable about a dilated veins of the Sapheno-Femoral Junction (SFJ) () with the aim to apply an external compression force on the insufficient veins of SFJ and especially in the area of the venous valves. There are proposed several embodiments of a extravenous corrector for external correction of insufficient valves in venous junctions. The corrector is adapted to be placed immediately around the junction with venous valves, in abutting contact with its external area. The extravenous corrector comprises a central support member () and at least three band lengths (), connected to the member, adapted for placement around at least two veins of the venous junction in area of location of their insufficient valves, these band lengths possessing different rigidity and compressing force in direction from their proximal end to the distal end.
