A flow-through tankis suitable for an optical devicefor the counting and/or differentiation of leucocytes in an automatic blood analysis apparatus. The tank has an analysis zone, in which the section of the tank has at least one transverse dimension between 1 and 5 millimeters. It can advantageously be produced, at least partially, from an injected plastic material.
