Abstract
An electrical connector () includes an insulative housing and a plurality of contacts () retained in the insulative housing. The insulative housing includes a number of receiving slots () and a number of retaining slots () communicating with each other along a front-to-back direction. Each contact () has a securing portion () engaging with the retaining slot (), a contact portion () extending forwardly into the receiving slot () from the securing portion (), and a tail portion () extending out of the insulative housing from the securing portion (). The retaining slot () defines a first inclined face () at an inner wall thereof. The securing portion () has a second inclined face () corresponding to the first inclined face () and abutting against the first inclined face ().
